Hello, I am Paul R. Ramer, the creator and writer of The Sojourner’s Wasteland. Since at least my teens, I have been something of a thinker, sometimes spending hours at a time thinking about issues, their relations, and deeper meanings and connections. Today, I continue to think about the world and ideas, but I also write, document, and create art. Following the years I spent in the U.S. Navy, I have completed a few years of college, including a degree in photography. At this blog I draw on my experiences, learning, and skills to continue my thinking, documenting, and creating.
Here you will find three main sections: The Wasteland, Writer’s Journal, and Scratchpad. The Wasteland is a section for my writing about the world at large, in its present form, its past, and its possible future. It is for opinions, analyses, and philosophical musings. Writer’s Journal is the place where you will find writings on my personal thoughts and experiences. It is essentially my public diary. Lastly, Scratchpad is where you will find my experimentation, whether in writing, photography, or some other art form that can be shared through this blog. It is a place for the imperfect, the free attempts at new ideas.
With the introduction out of the way, I hope you will join me on this journey and be part of the dialogue through the comments section. Thank you for being here.
Warmest of wishes,
Paul R. Ramer
